Wedding Wednesday: Wedding Reception Options

Wedding Reception

Want to cut wedding costs or maybe just tired of the traditional wedding reception and wants something new and untraditional then check out these wedding reception options!

Picnic Reception: Perfect for spring, summer or fall weddings. Get everyone outdoors for a more relaxed atmosphere. Picnic food will typically be cheaper than what would be served at a traditional wedding dinner or buffet. If you don’t have much guest, you can even prepare the food yourself.

Cocktail Reception: You only have to serve drinks and a few light snacks in this kind of reception. Just don’t forget to mention to your guests that a cocktail reception will be following the ceremony so that they will not be anticipating a full meal.

Barbeque Reception: A down-to-earth barbeque party is fun and more intimate. Steak, chicken and sausages could be served as well as a few sides and drinks. You can do it in your home or your parents home and even ask relatives for help.

Champagne and Cake Reception: Instead of a full meal, serve champagne and cake. You can make this type of affair both classy and tasty by choosing a delicious cake and high-end champagne.

Remember, it’s your special day, don’t let people say ‘you can’t do this or that’. The most important thing is that you’re happy.
