I am going to be honest here… I am pregnant. I am trying to make healthy choices, but it is getting harder and harder to resist when a when indulging my not-so-healthy cravings. It is not always easy. Sometimes you just need something decadent. I decided to try satisfy my sweets craving with a dessert pizza. This Banana Nutella Pizza Recipe is just what I need and it’s so delicious and easy to prepare.
My kids were helping me with the grocery list and we were talking about what kind of fruit we should buy for the week. I find that if I let them pick out the fruits and vegetables that they want then they are more likely to eat them. Well my boys wanted to try blackberries and I wanted them to try kiwi again. As parents our philosophy is to keep offering foods they don’t like in the hopes that eventually they will come to like more foods. It usually works but can sometimes take a lot of tries before they start liking new or previously disliked foods. So I thought we would try to make our own watermelon pizza.
My kids love watermelon, grapes, and blueberries. So for our watermelon pizzas we used 3 fruits they already like and introduced two new ones, blackberries and kiwi. As most of you know, I’ve been trying to eat healthy, and live a low calorie lifestyle, but I have a confession….I LOVE pizza. More than any sweets, or any other kind of bad for you food, I just want pizza. But when I realized that most pizzas can pack up to 300 calorie a slice (and really, who can stop at one!?)
