Fashion Friday: Here came the bride now what to do with the hat?

I love Fashion but I hate paying tons of money to look great. I believe you need two things, the knowledge of what looks good on you and the skill to find it for less.

I am a princess but I am not a royal. I know we are all talking about the wedding. Weddings are big news. I just got back from a wonderful wedding last weekend. I know that Kate will not be following my advice on finding your dream dress in Goodwill. I also know her guests will not follow my advice and gather their clothing on Ebay which is where I found an amazing Vera Wang. I am so enthralled by the Crown Princess Mary of Denmark dress. I am hopeful Kate will wear something simple and elegant.

This hat was found on Ebay for just $7.99

New uses for your hat after you have attended the big day:

1) Art work – hang it on your wall

2) Wear it to another event

3) Halloween costume

4) Dress up bin for any child

5) Tea party anyone?

6) Decoration for any diva’s bedroom

7) Go to a horse race

8) Crash a sorority rush party

9) Wear it and become Katy Perry or Lady Gaga

10) Bowl?

Fashion Friday: Packing for a trip

I love Fashion but I hate paying tons of money to look great. I believe you need two things the knowledge of what looks good on you and the skill to find it for less. I encourage you to get rid of all the items in your closet that you do not wear. They cloud up your options to make really great outfits because you can’t see your clothes! If they are in good condition sell the at a consignment store or a place like Plato’s closet, or host a clothing swap. Clothing swaps are a blast!

The worst part of a trip is packing. The what ifs are overwhelming. What if it is hot, cold, raining or snowing? How do I get it all in that little suitcase? How do I look cute and dress appropriately? I am on my way to Chicago for my annual girl’s weekend. I am gone Friday- Sunday. I will not be eating anywhere with coloring books! I am going to tell you my husband says I am not the lightest packer. I am however fashionable and frugal. I always bring a bag that I can bring stuff home in if I need them.

Fashion Friday: Swimsuit

I love Fashion but I hate paying tons of money to look great. I believe you need two things the knowledge of what looks good on you and the skill to find it for less. I hit the store inspired by the 75 degree weather to find a bathing suit. I do not care who you are, there is nothing scarier clothes wise then attempting to buy a bathing suit. I suggest you buy a suit that you are not scared to walk out of the dressing room in. I mean if you are afraid to walk towards the mirror in the suit, then how are you going to wear it at the pool?

I then suggest you not look at the size on the suit. I actually always buy bathing suits that are not my “normal” size because I go by fit not size.  No one is going to ask to see the tag in your suit. I do think if your assets are hanging out, you will get more questions regarding size.

Why did I run to the store to buy a suit?  Well, TJ Maxx and Marshall’s have started filling their stores with swim suits. I scored my Kenneth Cole Suit for $24.99. I saw this suit at a department store last year for $60.00. This is the time to buy your swimsuit because they have all the sizes in stock. Yes, they are most likely last year’s model but how much design improvement can there be in a swimsuit?
