Kid Cupcake Recipes-It is Birthday week here in my house! I have a little one having a 5th Birthday on Sunday, so that had me thinking about cake! We are not big sweets people, but when it comes to birthdays, we are all over some yummy cupcakes! And what is better than cupcakes? Ice Cream cone cupcakes! Kid cupcake recipes are always fun to do, and it will really put you in the party mood!
This is such a great recipes for kids birthday parties! It strays away from the traditional cake/cupcakes and you can personalize them with different color icing, and sprinkles! plus, it is much easier for kids to hold a cone while eating a cupcake, and may prevent some messes!

Last week, Rachelle wrote a great post about getting your kids to eat vegetables. It got me thinking about how my kids are more likely to eat veggies that are dipped in some kind of dressing. Ranch is a particular favorite around here, and a while back we started making our own Ranch Dressing. It’s easy to make, and we can prepare a big batch in just a few minutes. And best of all, it doesn’t have any icky preservatives like most store-bought salad dressings.
This is the basic recipe – you can adjust the seasonings or consistency to suit your family’s tastes. It will yield about 1 1/2 cups of dressing, but I usually double it so that we can use it on salads too.Continue reading

I attended a kid’s cooking class with my daughter the other night and it centered around packing lunches with healthy snacks. The one recipe they made was so simple and easy we had to try it at home. We made Lettuce Boats and the kids agreed that these made great healthy snack recipes for kids. They gave them 2 thumbs up.
