Do you have an item that you never eat at home but always order when dining out if it is available on the menu? Something delicious that you love but just don’t want to put forth the effort to make it at home? Maybe it is something that can only be done right by your favorite restaurant. For me that item is steakhouse potato soup. I absolutely love thick hearty chunky potato soup but I can’t quite seem to make it as good as my favorite restaurants and certainly can’t get it on the table quickly. Until now.
The key to a good chicken soup is love. Well maybe some great ingredients and a short cooking time. I am just someone who loves Chicken soup. This is an easy recipe that you can freeze. I have left out the chicken for my oldest who hates chicken and he will eat the whole bowl and then the next bowl.
Fruit is a big part of snacking in our house and lately we have been consuming watermelon, grapes, cantaloupe and honeydew. We were in the mood for something different so we decided dessert would be my daughter’s mission. She decided to make a kids fruit salad recipes. I told her I would give her a budget and she had to stick with it. We visited our local specialty grocer, so the prices were a little higher than the local Krogers or Meijers,so her budget was $10.
My family are cheese lovers and we come up with excuses to eat cheese. Who says cheese can’t be a part of every meal? Recently I had the opportunity to receive an assortment of cheeses from Sartori Cheese to try. I was impressed with the richness of flavors and used it to create my version of their MontAmore Mac and Cheese.
This recipe has been a hit at our Main Street Market cafe. Soup and sandwich can be a filling healthy lunch when this is part of your combination. We used fresh tomatoes, peppers, onion and garlic.
Healthy recipes do not have to be hard to make. I made this healthy meals in minutes by going to my favorite store Trader Joes. I love it so much we even have a Trader Joe’s must buy list. The reason why I selected to do a complete Trader Joe’s recipe is it cheap and easy.Continue reading
