We love making homemade ice cream using my Blendtec blender, my kids love it so much so I decided to collect more ice cream recipes kids will love. If you love berries, here is one of the super easy recipe that you should try, my Homemade Berry Ice Cream.
I made the coolest thing today! I made a cake…inside of an EGG! Like, a real egg, how cool is that? I love finding new and fun things for me and my 4 year old to do, and when I saw the Easter Egg Cake (on Pinterest of course!) I just knew we had to give it a try. Now, let me say, I am NO Martha Stewart, so it’s not perfect, but we had a great time making it, and it is super cute. We are going to make some more to leave out for the Easter Bunny!
Step 1: Color your eggs using food coloring and vinegar, or you can get an Egg Dyeing kit if you want 🙂
Step 2: Take a push pin, and poke a tiny hole on the pointed part of the egg, then slowly chip away at the hole until it is big enough to fit the tip of the syringe in the hole.
Step 3: Poke a smaller hole in the other side of the egg, and then “Blow out” the egg, blowing through the small hole until all the inside of the eggs are out. (Save 3 of the egg insides for your cake mix!)
Step 4: Line the inside of the muffin tin with foil, creating little pockets for the eggs to sit in so they don’t roll around in the over while cooking.
Step 5: Now this is the fun part, you will use your syringe to inject the cake batter into the egg via the hole you created. This part took me quite a bit of time, the little pieces of “strawberry” from the cake kept getting stuck in the tip! So this is why I recommend using a plain cake batter! Make sure only to fill up the eggs about 1/2 way with batter (You can check this by shining a flashlight onto the egg so you can see inside it)
Step 6: Once all the eggs are filled, put them in the muffin tin and cook for 18 minuets at 375 degrees.
Step 7: Take the eggs out of the oven, and let cool. There will most likely be some cake running over the egg, which is fine, just scrape it off with a fork!
Step 8: Find something cute for your eggs to sit on. If you have egg cups that would look great, I didn’t have any, so I made little cakes and coloring some icing green to look like grass for the eggs to sit on.
I used a little bit of icing to make the eggs look like they had yolks haha! A great bonus to making the cake in the eggs is that the cake was super moist! This whole project took about an hour to complete, and we had such a good time making it, I hope you like it too! Don’t forget to check out our other Easter fun on our Easter Page.
Here’s a super quick microwave recipes for kids. Get them into the kitchen and teach them how to make some yummy microwave fudge.
My kids love spending time with me in the kitchen. It’s been our bonding time to prepare and enjoy delicious food together and since we all have sweet tooth most of the time we make yummy desserts. This week I decided to teach them an Easy Cake Recipes for Kids, I searched for some recipes and found several Dump Cake Recipes, today I’m going to share with you one of my favorites. This is super easy to make because you only need to put your ingredients in slow cooker and after a few hours you have a delicious dessert that for sure will be a family favorite!
1 can of crushed pineapples
1 can of cherry pie filling
1 box of yellow cake mix
2 sticks of butter
1 cup of coconut
Spread the ingredients in your slow cooker. You are going to make two layers so only use half of the ingredients in this order:
Spread the pineapple.
Sprinkle cake mix evenly on top.
Next dump cherry pie filling evenly.
Cut butter into slices and spread evenly.
Spread some coconut.
Once you’re done with the first layer, just repeat the process again for the second layer.
You will need to cook this on high for around 3 hours.
To serve, scoop cake out with a large spoon like a cobbler, and dump it on a glass, cup or plate.
It is awesome served with whip cream or vanilla ice cream.
