Karla’s Korner: In Memory

I am proud to introduce a new column to Madame Deals! I think we all need a touch point a place we can go to be inspired. Karla is my children’s teacher, a good friend, and a person with a heart of gold. I hope that her words will inspire you to do more. We are only as good as the people we surround ourselves with. In Memory….

In the wake of the horrible events in Connecticut this week I find myself at a total loss for words of wisdom or wit. My heart hurts; my soul aches and my mind cannot comprehend the magnitude of loss and devastation that the victim’s families and friends of this horrific crime feel. As a parent and teacher I cannot imagine how these people are even able to breathe. Families dealing with incredible loss as well as the family of the one who is responsible must somehow try to go on with life; a feat that will be beyond difficult if not near impossible.
