School is starting and so does the chaos. That is at least in my house. I get so tired of being the short order cook so I have taught my kids to cook a couple of things on their own. I have also made a couple of breakfast items that they can grab and enjoy on their own. These are our favorites and I hope that they make your life easier. We all need breakfast kids can make themselves.Continue reading
Can you believe that in just a few short weeks school will be back in session!? For me that means no more leisurely mornings with my kids just hanging out, it means hectic mornings of making sure lunches are packed, clothes are on right, and most importantly, that my kids get a good breakfast before they go to school. Now I don’t know why, but kids can be picky eaters, am I right!? My daughter for example, will not eat anything whole. If it’s a sandwich, it has to be cut into fourths, apples cut into slices, you get the picture ha. So when it comes to breakfast I’m always looking for creative ways to serve my kids breakfast that will ensure that they like it and will eat it all.
Well lucky for me there is something that my kids will always eat, and that is (pretty much) everything that happens to be cut up and has a toothpick in it. I don’t know why, but it always works! So Thanks to Jimmy Dean® and State Fair® my kids and I were able to come up with a fun breakfast that everyone will love to munch on in the morning!
So before making our yummy breakfast creation we packed up and headed to WalMart to grocery shop. I love shopping at WalMart because they always have everything I need at a great price! You can find Jimmy Dean® and State Fair® in the freezer aisle.

Step 1: Ok first what you are going to do is heat up your Jimmy Dean® Sausage, Egg & Cheese Croissant Sandwiches and your State Fair® Corn Dogs. Try not to eat them before so you can get to the next steps ha!
Step 2: Cut your Jimmy Dean® Sausage, Egg & Cheese Croissant Sandwiches and State Fair® Corn Dogs into pieces and stick a toothpick into each piece.
Step 3: Ok, now it’s time to bring the sweet. Hit your pieces with some maple syrup drizzle! Hungry yet?
Step 4: Finish it off with some powdered sugar and bam! You have an easy breakfast that takes only minutes to make, and will sure to be gobbled up in minutes.
How easy was that right? So when the school year starts know that Jimmy Dean® and State Fair® has you covered with easy breakfast (and lunch, and snack!) solutions!

Trying to eat healthy is a blessing and a curse. I know it’s great for my body, and I feel better when I eat healthy, but I love food! I love food that isn’t always the best for me. We love a great bread. We have always loved the sweetness of a blueberry and the tart taste of a pineapple. The combination of the two in a bread is divine. I usually make muffins like this but my kids really enjoy a bread. I decided to try to make a bread to enjoy.
This is the icing recipe which isn’t necessary but it is good .
I use the lemon icing the I use on my Starbucks Lemon copy cat recipe. This is my favorite lemon pound cake recipe.
1/4 stick of butter
1TBS of milk
4 Tablespoons of Lemon
2 cups of powdered sugar
You will need to melt the butter and add the remain ingredients. Then you will mix them together and let them start to harden.
You can use this Healthy Breakfast recipe Berry Spread as well for a crepe filling recipes. The ingredients for this tasty filling is easy to make and it tastes great in a crepe and on a bagel or toast. The ingredients you will need are:
1 cup of blackberries
1/3 cup of sugar
Place the cream cheese in a bowl and add 1/2 cup of sugar
Then add in your cup of blackberries. I would place this in the microwave before you blend them together.
Then blend the three items. I just do so with a spoon I didn’t see a reason to take out my mixer.
This is a great cream cheese recipe that can be used as a Crepe Filling Recipe or as a stand alone spread. You can also freeze this. It is easy and tasty and it makes every party fancier.

I have to say I have always been in love with crepes. I think they are amazing. I believe that people do not realize how simple crepes are. These is a recipe that I whip up. I hope you enjoy these homemade crepes and they become a family favorite of yours.
1 cup of milk (We use rice milk and coconut milk to change it up every now and then)
1/4 teaspoon of salt
some butter for the pan
1 cup of flour
1 cup of water
Add the cup of flour in a bowl
Add two eggs to the flour
Blend the eggs with the flour
add 1/4 teaspoon of salt
Add one cup of milk
I add water in depending on how thin I want the crepes so see how the first one comes out then add a Tablespoon at a time.
Stir the ingredients together.
Put the pan on a medium heat and place in some butter to coat the pan.
Place a thin layer of the mix in the pan of then wait for it to bubble. Once it bubbles flip it over. Then you can fill you the crepe with a crepe filling the image is of our blackberry one.
Then roll them. I secured mine with a tooth pick to make it look perfect.
I mean doesn’t this just look so fancy that you can’t believe that you made them. They look amazing but they are so easy to make!
