Karla’s Korner: Finding Peace

Finding Peace…

peace

After spending nearly two hours trying to come up with a topic for this week I was ready to give up and call it a day. I was considering sending the boss an email and letting her know that my brain was on overload and that I just couldn’t write this week. The prior week had delivered a few surprises, a lot of work and a flare up of fall allergies that left me feeling out of sorts and a bit unsettled. As I prepared to give up I scrolled down through my Facebook newsfeed and came across a quote that gave me something to think and write about.Continue reading

I am a big supporter of dog rescues and our family is very involved with a local rescue. We are not only supporters with money but we foster animals, work with  TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) programs for feral cats, volunteer our time and so much more. It is a very rewarding experience but what makes it all worth it is when we are able to take an animal to their New Adoptive Home. Continue reading

Karla’s Korner: Celebrating The Journey

Celebrating The Journey….

Twenty five years ago today I went to work and then to my boyfriend David’s house to fix dinner and spend the evening with him; something we had done several times a week for five months. As I turned around he was standing there holding a little black box in his hands with tears streaming down his cheeks. He said something about loving me and knowing I was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with and then he asked me if I would be his wife. It was my turn to cry as I blurted out a big “yes!” and he slipped a diamond ring on my left hand. We set a date and started to plan the rest of our lives…..Continue reading

Disney On Ice: 100 Years of Magic

Disney On Ice is Fun For The Whole Family

disney on ice 2

Our family goes to the Disney on Ice shows at least once a year. I remember going myself as a child and have always enjoyed taking my own kids. The shows are a great way to experience the magic of Disney without traveling. Each show features the characters you love and the music from the motion pictures. My husband doesn’t even complain about going with us and that is why we are so excited for the newest show to come to the Metro Detroit Area. From October 16-20,2013- The Palace of Auburn Hills will be showcasing 100 Years of Magic. Continue reading
