My New Favorite Travel Essential

This post was sponsored by Gray Away as part of an Influencer Activation and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

People ask me “What to pack for a short trip.” I inevitably start listing clothes. I now have a new favorite item. I pack my Gray Away Temporary Root Concealer Spray and Gray Away Root Touch-Up Quick Stick. I am not sure how I do not notice that I have stray gray hairs, but for some reason, I am blind until I go on vacation.

gray away review

I know on vacation you aren’t supposed to care about your hair. I do. I admit it. I am vain when it comes to not having gray hair. I am trying to preserve my looks for as long as possible by eating right 90% of the time, exercising 90% of the days, and sleeping when there isn’t a big sporting event that I have to watch or when my kids decide to sleep all night.

I find that for some reason those pesky hairs grow best when on vacation or when you are on your way to something important. You look in the mirror and all you can see are those gray roots. Then I just can’t get past the gray. I try to put my hair to the other side, and that doesn’t work. I try to use mascara, and that doesn’t stay, and it creates those flaky clumps.

I did find a product that works, and I call it my new favorite travel essential since it is in my purse every place I go. The Root Touch-Up Quick Stick is what you need for an ultra-targeted gray root coverage, especially at the hairline and eyebrows. It features a dual-ended applicator, an angled tip for precise application and a sponge tip for blending. It allows me to do two things. It provides gray coverage on the spot. I do not have to be an expert; anyone can do it. In fact, my kids will even color my gray as a game. Yes, I have gotten them to clean their room in exchange for coloring my hair. Parenting win for sure!

I can extend the distance between having my hair colored, which saves me both time and money.

Gray Away can be found online and in-store at Ulta, CVS Pharmacy and Walmart. I have had the same Root Touch-Up Quick Stick for 3 months now and there is still a lot of product life left. I like the Gray Away Temporary Root Concealer Spray and always have back up in my beauty cabinet. I read that it’s a revolutionary breakthrough in hair care because of how fast and easy it is to use to touch up and cover gray roots. With the spray I can get the back and the front quicker than coloring it. I use the coloring stick on the go, and when I notice one of those gray hairs that only comes out when you have something important to do.

I totally subscribe to the witch tale if you pull one out two grow back, so that is why I use Gray Away. I mean who wants to double the gray hair?
