Happy Spring Ya’ll! When I looked out my window this morning I noticed that my tulips from last year are starting to sprout! I’m so excited that they made it through the winter! Seeing those little buds gave me some inspiration for a fun Mother’s Day craft to do you with my daughter!

This Easy Mother’s Day Flower Craft is super cute, colorful and made out of something you probably already have, coffee filters! This would be so fun to make with your kids for this Mother’s Day! Let’s check out how to make them:

Easy Mother’s Day Flower Craft: Coffee Filter Flowers

You Will Need:

  • Scissors

First, take 2 of your coffee filters and flatten them out. Put one on top of the other, and fold them in half, then again, and one more time until it looks like the fold above. You will then trim a half circle off the top, and cut a line about an inch down.

Next, grab your food coloring and put about 4 drops in a different bowl for each color. Now add 1/2 a cup of water and mix. Unfold your coffee filters and lay flat. Using your dropper drop a few drops of the colors your chose in any pattern you like! If you want your flowers bright then less is best! Don’t over saturate your flowers, the colors will get muddy if you do.

Then, set all your flowers out to try. Let them dry completely or they will not set up right!
