Mini Taco Bites

Mini Taco Bites

mini taco bites

It is five somewhere they say. I am slowly disengaging with my week. It has attacked me like a shark to blood. I can’t remember anything that happened on Monday as I sit on Friday trying to figure out what is for dinner. I love cooking with my kids and we even have a series on how to cook with your kids.  I decided that mini tacos bites would be a hit since mini taco bowls are. They are also a quick appetizer idea.

I know three things in life. 1) If you kid liked it yesterday today they will not like it 2) If they make dinner themselves they will actually eat the dinner. It appears food tastes better if they touched it. 3) I do not know of a single meal that everyone in my family like so mini taco bites allows my family to pick their own options.

Quick appetizer idea

  1. chips that are already in the cup form like these scoops
  2. ground beef usually brown 1 lb
  3. Black Beans
  4. Tomato
  5. Salsa
  6. Guacamole
  7. Cheese (usually buy the Mexican mixture)
  8. Onions
  9.  Black Olives

This Quick Appetizer Idea is easy to make. You will need to brown the meat. I put my onions in the meat and cook them until they are transparent.  This is my favorite do all pan. I would marry it if I could. nonstick cooper pan. Then in another pan, I cook the beans. While they are cooking I place all the scoops in an oven-safe stoneware baking set.

You see the secret to mini taco bites is to put the cheese in the bottom. Then add your hot meat. I allow the kids to pick and choose what they want to put in their mini taco bites. We love eating these for dinner or when we need a quick appetizer idea to watch the big game. They are so easy that I allow my kids to help me cook.

I have a couple more ideas if you like quick appetizer ideas or Mexican food.

The best times I have with my children are in the kitchen. I can’t tell you how many laughs we have shared. I really enjoy spending time with them and helping them become better chefs. We love Mexican food in our home and my children even like to create their own recipes. This recipe was created by my daughter and me after eating a similar dish at a restaurant.
