Memories: Making Apple Sauce

This series on how to make the most out of the time you have with your children is brought to you by Amee at Madame Deals and Sharon at Mom on Dealz.

I thought this is going to be interesting. I am not sure about you but my kids go apple picking each year. It is a wonderful trip and family activity. The problem is we have three kids with bags of apples. I decided to find an easy to follow and use recipe and make us some homemade apple sauce. I love my crockpot and i love it even more since making Crockpot Apple Sauce.

This is what you need

8 apples

apple peel

crockpot

Lemon

1 Cinnamon stick or the sprinkle stuff 1/2 tsp

1T of Vanilla

and 3T of brown sugar (light) I didn’t have light so I used dark. It just makes darker apple sauce. You can also use less sugar depending on how sweet you like your sauce.

This is a super easy recipe. You will need to peel and cut your apples. Then place them in the crockpot on low for 6 hours. You need to be prepared for how yummy it will smell and taste. If you leave this in the crockpot for 4 hours you will most likely have to blend it. If you leave it in for 6 hours then you can use a fork to blend it.
