Let’s Pretend This Never Happened

Okay, I have a secret I have a blog crush. You read right. I love the site The Bloggess.  This site is what a naughty magazine is to a thirteen year old boy. That may be a poor analogy or bring memories or thoughts up that I am not referring to. I love this site and her book.

I do not read the book when my kids are around or my husband for that matter. It is the guilty pleasure that you give yourself when no one is around do not defer to the 13 year old boy comment. I am thinking more about watching the Housewives shows. This book is laugh out loud funny.

Jennifer says what you want to say the way you would say it if you didn’t fear your tongue wold swell from eating soap for using cuss words. I ordered her book as soon as it was available. I couldn’t resist. I deserve a good laugh and I was willing to pay for it.  Let’s Pretend This Never Happened: (A Mostly True Memoir) is just what I expected.

It is like a car wreck in literature. You can’t believe it nor can you take your eyes off of it. I have been known to read this book instead of doing what I should be doing. It has saved me several calories since I received it instead of eating Hershey kisses I am in the corner laughing.  I would like to suggest Let’s Pretend This Never Happened. It isn’t your normal book. This is the book that confirms some people had normal childhoods and some just didn’t.  I do have to say after reading this book I do feel normal and I am still laughing over cows and turkeys and squirrels oh my!
