The Journey of a Lifetime

Kia Soul

This journey was sponsored by Kia And DriveSTI who sponsored my yellow Kia Soul. It was the perfect car to take on a journey of a lifetime or for that journey on everyday life. It all started in the very late 90’s. I was a sister at the Alpha Xi Delta house at the University of Florida, “Go GATORS!” I met this special woman who I call Mom D. You can see my whole post about how her hugs changed my life. HUG!

I got into my yellow Kia Soul and I was honestly surprised by all the features that car had. It had heated seats, navigation, a dual sunroom, and fob start thing (I think that is what it is called). It had the ability to play tunes right from my iPhone and make bluetooth calls. It really drove well. I was able to navigate the traffic easily because this Kia had a spring in its step.

The Kia Soul had wonderful seating . I was piled in my friends and away we went. We did what any groups of girls would do on a road trip. We blasted the tunes and we talked about everything we used to do. We were on our way ! We made a stop two hours away to a very special lady Anne Hugs. It was special because this woman helped us become the women we are. She guided us when we need guidance and never told us anything but the truth. She is someone who brings people together. She is Southern lady who did change who she was for anyone. She is part of my heart and part of my soul and I thought it was funny that I was driving a Kia Soul to see my Soul Mom!

We spent a couple of hours talking about the old days. She reminded us of all our trouble. She had a lot to share about me. I guess we could say I was also a gal and still am a gal with my own mind. We talked about the date functions, the house, and even other sisters. She reminded me what it takes to be a good person, sister, wife, and mother. She made us laugh and cry a little. Then we said our good byes and we were off to see some of our sisters two hours away so back in the Kia we climbed.

It is funny it has been 20 years and things are still the same if you say, “I need you”. They will be there. We met a couple more of my friends at a restaurant to catch up. Then we proceeded to admire the Kia Soul.

These ladies above have been my friends “my sisters” for over 20 years. We all met at the University of Florida. I can honestly say I couldn’t be more proud of what they have accomplished in their lives! We were all changed for the better through our college days. We ate $.99 cent blizzard and watched 90210. We had great times and great defeats. We made sure we were all there for one another and we still do this today.
