What do you do when your son says, “I am bored?” You know besides roll your eyes and think to yourself, “again”. You decide you are going to surprise him with a birthday he will not forget. You know that your number one goal this year and going forward is to fill your children’s lives with memories instead of stuff. You think where can I get the most value for my money? Then it hits you! Great Wolf Lodge has the best value for your money.
I’m sure you have looked into going and thought that it might be expensive, but really it doesn’t have to be. The best part is Great Wolf Lodge has so much to offer that you can choose what to do. You can pack a lot of adventure in a short amount of time! You see if you purchase a room at Great Wolf you can come to the park before your room is ready. That means you can play even before your stay. We checked in and got our wristbands and complimentary wolf ears. They will also give you a schedule of activities that will take place throughout the day. The locker rooms made it easy to change into your swimsuit and get the party started. We did just that. We used the lockers to hold wallets, keys, and cell phones. They vary in sizes and prices start at just $15. At around 4 pm you will be able to get into your room. The best part is you receive a text when your room is ready. We were having such a great time we weren’t in a rush to get to our room. I should also let you know that you can play the next day. You will have to remove all your belongings from your room by 11:00 am. This is where the lockers prove handy once more. We placed the luggage in our vehicle and took only what we needed. When it was time to leave we used the locker rooms to take a quick shower and they even have a handy bathing suit dryer so you don’t have to take your swim suits home soaking wet. I can’t even tell you how reasonable that makes Great Wolf Lodge. You pay for one night of lodging and get two days of play. You will also score points with the kiddos because they will have a blast and definitely not be bored.
Great Wolf Lodge features 84-degree indoor water park. With over 56,000 square feet of water-packed excitement, including jaw-dropping slides the whole family will surely have fun. Outside the water park, the fun continues. Grab a wand and battle a dragon in MagiQuest or get an ice cream-themed manicure in Scooops Kid Spa before gathering your family in the Grand Lobby for nightly fireside Story Time, the perfect ending to a Great Wolf day. They do all the work and all you have to do is enjoy the day with your children. I love that they only allow the guests to enjoy the resort that means the lines are manageable. You spend your day on the slides and not waiting for them. You can play inside which is great if the weather isn’t ideal or at the pool outside. It is practically a kid’s paradise! Literally, Great Wolf Lodge has everything kids love under one roof: Bowling alley, arcade, theater, magic, sugar, spa, and more. From the Dunkin Donuts to the Great Wolf Candy Company to the Bear Paw Sweet & Eats, you will find something to cure your sweet tooth. I dare you to try to keep your inner child from jumping out. Take one trip down a slide and you will definitely feel like a kid again. However, if it’s not your thing, there is a hot tub just for adults 21 and over so you can relax in peace.
Speaking of peace, when you are ready to settle down for the evening you will find that your room has a rustic, campy feel with the amenities of a hotel. There are different rooms to choose from to truly customize the adventure or just to accommodate the size of your family. You can opt for a standard room, themed room, or a premium suite which can accommodate a bigger group. You don’t have to worry about keeping up with your room key. It’s attached to your wrist. The wristband they gave you when you checked in is all you need to get into your room.
I say a picture is worth a thousand words. This is my son after a day at Great Wolf. He didn’t want the day to end. He wore his ears whenever he wasn’t in the water and he even fell asleep in them.
