Getting Ready For The Big Game With A Snack Stadium

Snack Stadium

So I’ll admit, I am not a huge sports fan (Other than UK Basketball that is) but there is one sports event that I watch every year without fail, the Super Bowl! What can be more American than a good sports rivalry, hanging out with friends and some fun food? My family and I love getting together with some friends and watching the game. So when I was given the chance to work with Red Gold Tomatoes to make a cool snack for the big game I was thrilled! What cool snack am I talking about? a Snack Stadium of course! Have you seen them!?

Red Gold Tomatoes was kind enough to send me a tailgating kit with some of their yummy products to get my Snack Stadium ready to go! The Red Gold Salsa is my favorite brand of salsa because of the great flavor! It’s perfect for game day or when you just need some chips and salsa.

So every great Snack Stadium needs some yummy food to fill it up right? I decided I wanted 3 different yummy dips to go in my snack stadium to make up the “field”. To make my Snack Stadium field I headed to the store and grabbed 3 disposable bread pans, and 1 large disposable roasting pans. I Taped the 3 bread pans to the center of the roasting pan and then started on making my dips!

World’s Best Queso Dip:

  • 1 can Red Gold Tomatoes and Green Chilis
  • 1 pounds Velveeta cheese (diced)

In a microwave safe bowl add your tomatoes and cheese together and microwave on high for 5 minutes. Mix and pour into one of your bread pans.

Chunky Guacamole

  • 2 avocados pitted and peeled
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 can Red Gold Tomatoes and Chipotle Peppers

Mash avocados with a fork and add in your lime and tomatoes. Throw it in a blender to blend and pour it into the second bread pan.

In the 3rd pan I added the ready made Red Gold Salsa!

Since I had 3 different dips I wanted to add some yummy items to use to dip! I decided on….

  • Tortilla Chips
  • Carrots
  • Cheese Slices
  • Taquitos
  • Little Weenies (warmed up!)

Now it’s time to get a little creative with your Snack Stadium!

I am NOT an artist so I decided to keep my decorations easy and fun for my Snack Stadium so I decided to grab a Ziploc bag and some sour cream to pipe out a “Go Team!” design for my field. I think it brings a little extra fun to an already fun recipe.

I also brought a little more fun to my design by adding an edible goal post! All you need to make this is 2 beef jerky sticks and a few tooth picks! You will need 1 long stick and 2 shorts ones. Just cut in the shape of a goal post and use the toothpicks to hold the pieces together.

My family and I had such a fun time creating (and eating) this Snack Stadium and I can’t wait to make another one for the big game next month!

What are some of your favorite Super Bowl snacks?
