Fashion Friday: Feria

I love Fashion but I hate paying tons of money to look great. I believe you need two things the knowledge of what looks good on you and the skill to find it for less. I encourage you to get rid of all the items in your closet that you do not wear. They cloud up your options to make really great outfits because you can’t see your clothes! If they are in good condition sell the at a consignment store or a place like Plato’s closet, or host a clothing swap. Clothing swaps are a blast!

I decided to try to color my hair again by myself. I selected feria shade 41. The photograph above is of my hair that I had professional dyed. I had highlights. It has been a couple of month. I am sure like many of you this month money is tight. I think back to school should be bank draining month. I have a lot grey hair which I attribute to my type A personality and my children’s ability to create a tornado within minutes of their arrival. I have colored by hair over the years but I had never tried feria before. This dye is made by Loreal paris.

It said you needed to leave it in for 25 minutes which had me a little worried since my grey hairs are very tough to dye. I even did 27 minutes just in case.I was right the colored didn’t penetrate them. I believe that my hair has a nice texture and it doesn’t smell. I was not happy with the overall color. The color also remained on some places on my scalp. I had to rewash my hair to get it out. I wasn’t happy with the way the color deposited on my hair. It was cheaper than my normal hair routine but I think I am going to save up to go back to my professional hair dresser because it didn’t cover my grey. I am aware that red is hard to do and that my hair is pretty dark so I wasn’t expected the color on the box but I was expected better results. I would suggest Feria if you do not have grey hairs.

You can see my hair color last week in this video Designer dresses for less. I was dressed by the stars of Project Runway.
