Mexican Pulled Pork Carnitas Recipe
 
Ingredients
  • For Pork Carnitas
  • 2½ lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tsp coarse sea salt
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • Toppings
  • Corn tortillas
  • Avocado slices
  • Cilantro, roughly chopped
  • Red onion, diced
  • Lime slices
  • mexican shredded cheese for the non-dairy free
Instructions
  1. Place pork in slow cooker.
  2. Combine all other ingredients in slow cooker.
  3. Cook in the slow cooker for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low.
  4. Pull apart with a fork.
  5. Serve on warm corn tortillas and top with onions, cilantro, avocado slices and squeeze some lime juice.
