A while back I applied for the chance to host a #DisneySide Party and I was so excited when I was picked. I was given party supplies and other goodies to help me plan my party but the best thing was I was going to be able to show my Disney Side the way I wanted to. Having just had my daughter’s tenth birthday, I knew that I wanted to do something a little different. I put my thinking cap on and decided to hold a party for the kids at our church and their friends. The best part was when I reached out to a few local businesses they were more than happy to help the kids have a fun time and donated delicious food for the event. (see all our sponsors below).

Disney Side Party Night

We held our Disney Side Party this past Friday night and kids from 3 to 17 attended this fun night out. Since I wanted the kids up and having fun we opted not to watch a movie. Instead, I set up stations around the gymnasium for them to do. We had Cinderella’s Coloring Table, Tinkerbell’s T-Shirt Decorating, Pluto’s Perfect Ladder Golf, Minnie’s Magnificent Bean Bag Toss, Donald’s Disco Bingo, and Goofy’s Giant Balloon Pop. We started the night off at Chef Mickey’s  with huge pizza pies from Birmingham Extreme Pizza and washed them down with slushies from Kona Ice. For those craving a sweet treat, Baklava was on the menu courtesy of Kouzina. When they needed a break from the all action they headed over to Dumbo’s Drink and Snack Station where they could get a glass of something cold to drink or snack on Chips and Salsa from Garden Fresh Salsa Disney Side 2   Kids young and old had so much fun that it was non-stop action during the whole party. The kids were not ready to leave when their parents came and we invited the parents in to have some of our Super Tasty Mickey Mouse Club House cake that was donated by Berkley’s Gourmet Cupcakes and Party Cakes. It was so much fun seeing what each child decorated their t-shirt with because Disney is something different to everyone. We had drawings of this year’s Frozen characters to a list of all Disney Animated Movies Pre 2000. There is always something to get people talking when you start discussing favorite Disney Memories. Everyone has their favorite movie, favorite ride (At the parks) and favorite character or villain. The night ended with one lucky guest receiving a $25 Disney Gift Card donated by Lisa at As You Wish Vacations. I truly can’t wait to start planning my next Disney Celebration and get all the kids together again for food, games and Disney fun.
