Craving for cake but don’t want to bake a big one? Then all you need is this Cookie Butter Microwave Mug Cake Recipe. It’s super quick to prepare and in just a few minutes you’ll have a delicious moist cake. Now you can make it for breakfast, snack even midnight snack, it’s so easy even kids can do it.
Here’s how to make this Cookie Butter Microwave Mug Cake Recipe
2 tablespoons cookie butter
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
4 tablespoons milk
1-2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons butter, melted (or coconut oil)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Add the butter, egg, milk, vanilla and cookie butter to a small bowl and whisk until smooth.
Next add the baking powder followed by the flour, sugar, salt and cinnamon. Mix until just combined.
Pour into 2 small microwave-safe mugs or one large mug, sprayed lightly with nonstick cooking spray.
Microwave for 90 seconds. You will see the cake inflate up over the bowl. Don’t worry. This is normal, and it will almost immediately start to deflate.
Let it cool for about two minutes before serving. Serve with Cool Whip, if desired.
You can eat it right out of the bug, or run a knife around the edges to invert it onto a serving dish.
If you prefer a sweeter dessert, use 2 tablespoons of sugar.
All microwaves are different, so you may have to play around with the cooking time. Mine were perfectly cooked at exactly 90 seconds. If your cake is dry, reduce the cooking time by 5 seconds at a time until it’s cooked to your liking. And if it’s not cooked enough, increase it by 10 seconds at a time.
You can also add all the ingredients to one large mug, but you may have to adjust the cooking time.
I prefer to use a bowl to which it, because I think it’s easier and it doesn’t rub off all the nonstick spray.
