The first time I had these  was at a church fellowship. I quickly tracked down the chef and asked for her cheese savories recipe. When I found out how easy they were to make I almost fell over. These little yummy snacks have only 4 ingredients and are so easy to prepare. One of the best things about them is you can make them ahead of time and freeze them before you bake them. Then you simply pull them out of the freezer and throw them in the oven. This is a great way to make your house smell delicious when welcoming guests. These cheese savories are also perfect to keep in the freezer and make whenever you have soups or chili for dinner. Seriously, I always have a bag of frozen cheese balls in the freezer because they are that good and I love to have a hot savory snack at the ready.

Cheese Savories

Ingredients
  

  • 1 stick of butter
  • 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 c flour
  • sprinkle of paprika

Instructions
 

  • Cream together cheese and butter until well mixed.Mix in flour and salt. (I just dumped everything into the mixing bowl and let the Kitchen Aid mixer do its thing)
  • When smooth, form into a large ball, pinch off pieces and roll into 3/4 inch balls.
  • Put the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Chill for 2 hours
  • Bake for 8 min.
  • Serve hot
  • Makes about 5 dozen cheese balls.
