It is summer and it is the time we need to keep hydrated. That is really easy with all of the flavor options that DPS Dr Pepper Snapple Group has created. They are known for 50 brands that are synonymous with refreshment, fun and flavor. In addition to their flagship Dr Pepper and Snapple brands, the DPS portfolio includes 7UP, A&W, Canada Dry, Clamato®, Crush, Hawaiian Punch, Mott’s, Mr & Mrs T mixers, Peñafiel, Rose’s, Schweppes, Squirt and Sunkist soda.
Clamato® is the drink that I chose to use today in my recipe. You will see why! The summer is hot and our time is limited so why not enjoy a night in with friends? What if you knew how to make an incredible drink? What if you got some music ready and made a couple of easy recipes? What if you took some time for yourself and the people around you? How about making a simple drink with a Mexican Flare? How about making a Michelada? What if you did it on July 12th. The day that this drink is celebrated.

I have said this before and I will say it again…I am not a morning person. I have to have my coffee as soon as my feet hit the floor. So in June and July, I have to get up early every morning and take my boys to swim team practice. Now by the time they get out of bed, eat breakfast, and are ready to leave I have already had 2 cups of coffee. However, I require 3 cups minimum. That means coffee to go, of course. But have you sat at the pool in Virginia in June and July? Even in the early morning it is too hot for coffee. Now before you start questioning my self proclaimed coffee requirements, rest assured I still drink my coffee even when it is too hot, I just sweat a lot. I decided it was high time to figure out how to make the perfect iced coffee to go so that I can enjoy my coffee chilled while I wait for my kids pool side.
Before we talk coffee let’s talk coffee creamers. The best cup of fresh brewed coffee can be ruined by what you add to it. So choose your creamer carefully. I like International Delight Simply Pure coffee creamers because they meet all of my requirements for a good coffee creamer. Morning people do not mess around when it comes to their coffee or their creamer.
Step 1: Read this step carefully. Complete step one the night before you want to have iced coffee in the morning. The timing of this step is critical for all my fellow non-morning people. Pour coffee creamer into ice cube trays and place in the freezer.
Step 2: Fill up your to go cup halfway with ice cubes.
Step 3: Add several of your frozen creamer cubes to the cup. I like 4 or 5 cubes but you may like more or less.
Step 4: Add hot coffee. I use my Keurig to make my coffee but you can use brewed coffee or pressed coffee.
Step 5: Enjoy your perfect iced coffee!
From one coffee loving morning hating person to another, enjoy your coffee hot or cold and don’t forget a splash of Simply Pure creamer. Don’t be shy…share your morning routine tips in the comments below. How do you make it through the morning when you are not a morning person?

Do you have a memory from childhood that sticks in your mind? I do. I remember always being late for school. It seems that I am not a morning person, so I was always walking to the bus stop, getting in my mom’s car, or getting in my own car with a bagel wrapped in a paper towel and a plastic cup of Mott’s® apple juice. I swear this was my breakfast for years. I am positive that is why I only buy Mott’s® because it has been my favorite for years. I was excited to see that they introduced a new flavor Mott’s® Apple Cherry Juice because my children love cherries.
I told my daughter that Mott’s came out with a new flavor. She, of course, took this news to a whole new level demanding that we have a juice tasting kids party to celebrate.

The holiday season is one of my favorite times of the year! It’s so festive and fun. Most people think that the holiday season ends after Christmas but that is So not true! We can’t forget New Years Eve/New Years Day right? I don’t know about you, but New Years Day is one of my favorite holidays. I love the thought of a brand new year. A fresh start. Maybe you had a bad year, so New Years day is a start to a (hopefully) bigger and better year. Maybe you had a great year, and New Years Day is the first day to another great year. Either way, it’s something to be celebrated! Continue reading
