I have kids and unfortunately they are not old enough to drink beverages with alcohol nor do I really want them to be old enough yet or drink. We developed these Cocktails and Mocktails Recipes for them and myself. I do not drink but I hate going to a party and being the only one that doesn’t drink. I am a girly girl and I love a good looking drink without alcohol. I am the kind of chick that drives people to drink. HA, HA, HA, what I love about this recipe is you make up the recipe and then you can add a shot of rum or vodka to the drink to make it a cocktail. I find it to be refreshing and lovely without the vodka or rum but others like that extra bit of courage or as my friend calls it “relaxing juice”.
Cocktails and Mocktails Recipes
The difference between a cocktail and mocktail is leaving out the liquor.
This is how you create our fancy lemonade mocktail:
Gather a nice glass, a pitcher, 4 cups of water, Frozen lemonade, bottle of Lemon Lime soda, and a handle full of fresh berries for a garnish. We like strawberries the best. Then of course you need a lemon because lemonade without a fresh lemon isn’t lemonade. I have made this fancier by dipping the rim of the glass in sugar. I used this technique in my cheap cake decorating post.

Here is a quick way to stop the whining when children come home from school
The day has ended for them. They are tired, overstimulated, and hungry. They are in fact so hungry that they have taken on the persona of people you do not recognize. It isn’t their fault it all goes back to lunch time at school. You packed them the best possible lunch. They ate nothing or just ate the dessert, or they may have eaten what their neighbor traded them. You have no idea what they have consumed, but it wasn’t enough.Continue reading

The hot sun is kissing your cheeks, and the sweat is rolling down your back. You are riding your bike over the last hill on your journey home. You are almost there. You are almost able to taste that sweet thirst-quenching caffeine free beverage as it covers your tongue like a beach towel on the sand. It is made from a blend of herbs, bark, spices and berries to achieve its signature taste. This beverage was created to quench the thirst of spectators of a celebration of World War 1 Veterans during a parade on June 20, 1919, by Roy Allen. You are at that moment Incredibly thankful for Roy Allen as you pedal faster toward your reward for a job well done, a paper route complete, or just following that rule mom set forth to stay off the main road and go directly to your friend’s house without stopping for anything!Continue reading
