Now that November is here, is anyone else planning their holiday dinner recipes yet!? I love cooking for the holidays and hosting dinners in my home for my family and friends. This year Thanksgiving will be held at my home, and I’m really hoping to impress and put on a fabulous meal for my family. One of my favorite things to cook is anything sweet! So I thought I would try my hand at making a homemade cheesecake this year, and I had to try it out before the holidays, for research, of course, ha! But I wanted to kick it up a notch, so I made this Easy Salted Caramel Cheesecake Pie Recipe and let me tell you, it is a-maze-ing! If you love caramel and cheesecake, you are going to love this pie! Plus it’s easy to make, and I’m all about easy recipes! Continue reading
Over the weekend my daughter and I spent some time a local farm. We went to get some pumpkins, but ended up coming home with pumpkins, fresh bread, some veggies, and some delicious red apples. Apples are one of my favorite things to cook with during the fall, and I was super excited to make a yummy dessert for my family with them. Apple Crisp is one of my easy go-to recipes for fall parties and get togethers. It doesn’t take long to make OR to bake. And it tastes like a “burst of fall in your mouth!” or so says my daughter. Would you like to learn how to make it? Let’s check it out!
Are you dippers? I mean true dippers who dip everything? We are a family of dippers. We love to dip everything and we love all kinds of dips. We love dips so much that my children have created their own. They call it “double dip” and have even had the recipe published in our church’s cookbook. Double Dip is made by mixing equal parts ranch dressing and ketchup.
Double Dip Recipe
2 Tbsp ketchup
2 Tbsp ranch dressing
Put ketchup and ranch dressing in a small bowl. Mix until thoroughly combined.
The perfect dippers for double dip are Tyson® Chicken Strips. For protein powered snacking or easy finger food dinners we serve Tyson® Chicken Strips with Double Dip, barbecue sauce, and honey mustard. Paired with some cheesy broccoli and we have a very happily dipping family and a delicious meal. It’s a great meal, Charlie Brown!
We also love a reason to celebrate and the new Peanuts Movie is definitely a cause for celebration. The Peanuts Movie is available Only in Theaters and to celebrate we made Peanuts Gang cupcakes. Charlie Brown, Sally, Linus, and Schroeder were our inspiration for these cupcakes.

I think these cupcakes are just adorable. They were really easy to decorate. Watch the video to see exactly how I made each cupcake character.
Is your family excited for the new Peanuts movie? I know we certainly are especially as the holidays approach. It is a family tradition to watch all the Peanuts holiday specials. How will you celebrate the new movie? If you have a favorite dip, please share. My big and little dippers are always willing to try a new dip.
Fall is in the air. I know this because later on today I get to go sit outside for a soccer game. In the rain. When it’s 59 degrees. Doesn’t that sound fun? The things we do for our children right? Anyways, now that fall is here, it’s time to start enjoying the flavors of fall. And for me, that means pumpkin. Oh yes, I am a pumpkin spice latte kind of girl. I also love pumpkin pie! So when I was asked to make a something for friend who happens to be gluten free I had an idea for a perfect recipe. Fun fact, did you know you can buy gluten free graham crackers? It’s true! And they make the perfect homemade crust for my Gluten Free Pumpkin Cheesecake Recipe! Would you like to learn how to make it? Sweet!

Fall is finally here! I don’t know about you, but fall is my favorite time of the year. I love the temperature, the colors, and most importantly, the food. Something about some hot soup and pumpkin flavored anything on a cool fall night just flat out does it for me. As most of you know, I’ve been on a health centered journey for a few months now, and I plan to carry that right on in to the holiday season. But that doesn’t mean that I have to give up the food I love! Portion control and quality ingredients are the way to go when it comes making it through the holidays without expanding your waistline (or feeling like you are missing out!). So I wanted to share with you one of my new favorite holiday treats, my Mini Caramel Apple Pies! How amazing does that sound? Would you believe it takes 5 minutes and only 4 ingredients to make? It’s true! Continue reading
This week my daughter started her first season of soccer. This is a really big change for us because we have spent the last 3 years in the dance studio. My daughter decided it was time for a change and I told her I would always support her in her activities so that is what has led us to the soccer field! Every Saturday we have a game, and the parents are responsible for bringing snacks to the games. I’m up next week and I just found up that a child on our team has a dairy allergy. So I wanted to think of a yummy dairy free treat to bring to the team. Continue reading
