This is the year that I decided I would own the fact that I inspire others. I know that is pretty brash to say you have the power to inspire. The truth is I have Klout. I used to be a teacher in the classroom but now I have expanded my reach. I using my gift to help my children grow, my marriage prosper, and my readers become the people they want to be. I am not about fluff in fact I have been told I am blunt. I guess some people like the wrapping paper but I am more interested in what is inside. I picked the word inspire and that is my plan for this year.

Do you have a used car that you don’t need anymore? You may want to consider donating your used vehicle to charity. By donating you avoid the hassles associated with selling it, avoid the potential of repair costs, help a worthy cause and score a tax deduction at the same time.
Donate car for tax credit – You can use the price the charity got for your car in a sale as the amount of your deduction, this is true in case they sold it in auctions. If in case the charity sells the car at a discount to a needy individual or keeps the car for its own use, then you can claim a deduction for its fair market value.
Where to Donate My Car? There are a lot of charities where you can donate used cars and they will even pick it up for you, but before you do that one important tip to consider is to make sure that you’re donating directly to charities. Some middlemen or organizations will keep some percent of the value of your car for themselves and will just donate a portion to charity. To avoid this make sure to contact the charity your interested in directly and that charity is non-profit.
Another important thing to consider before you donate used cars is to make sure that the charity is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) organization. The IRS allows vehicle donors to receive the full market value on their vehicle as a full tax deduction, so make sure that you keep a thorough list of paper trail. Some important documents to keep are IRS Form 8283 for your tax return, outside appraisal if necessary, proof of the donation and a copy of the title change.
1. Cars 4 Homes – Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit Organization. They provide additional tax documents when required by IRS regulations as a result of the sale value of the vehicle. An IRS approved 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
2. Wheels4Hope – Non-profit, faith-based car donation program in Raleigh and Greensboro, NC. They provide transportation for low-wage families and individuals. An IRS approved 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
3. Kars4Kids – Make a difference in a child’s life. They accept all cars, most boats and rv’s, and any type of vehicle in any condition, running or not. They fund educational, developmental, and recreational programs for Jewish youth and their families. An IRS approved 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

If you were given a chance to help someone else, how will you do it and who will you give it to?
This is the challenge that Amee aka MadameDeals gave to us this week. This is called the Envelope Project! The goal is to take a moment to help someone else. Amee gave us each $10 to give it to someone and report back on what we did and how it made us feel. We want to show you how small things make big difference, as long as we have a giving heart.
I often think of Good Deed Quotes and they remind me to pay it forward. I believe that with every action there is a reaction. If you do something from your heart. Then I truly believe other people will also do the same. I decided I would test my theory. I offered $1 to 10 people and asked them to do something kind for someone else. You can see what they did as part of my $100 story. It did however get me thinking if we are reminded to do good is that enough? If we read something or see something is that enough to influence how we react. I think it is. I am often reminded to be thankful for what I have. I am reminded by the actions and reactions of others and I am reminded that 100 pennies can change two people. The person that gave and the person that receives. I hope that mine chain of kindness reaches everyone.
I am a big supporter of dog rescues and our family is very involved with a local rescue. We are not only supporters with money but we foster animals, work with TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) programs for feral cats, volunteer our time and so much more. It is a very rewarding experience but what makes it all worth it is when we are able to take an animal to their New Adoptive Home. Continue reading
