I have a very special little princess. I find that every year my little princess wants a party filled with sparkles and magic. I love a great party, but I hate the expense that comes with a great party. This year I vowed to throw a party on a budget. We decided to have a pizza and cake party and do a reasonably priced craft. This is what I did, and this is what I spent.
Disclosure- I received birthday party supplies from BirthdayExpress.com to help facilitate this review, but as always, all thoughts and opinions are my own 🙂
You guys, my baby (well, not so much a baby anymore) turned 7 this week! I can’t believe it and have no idea when it happened. Is it just me or does time go by so much more quickly when you have kids? Every year I let my daughter pick her birthday theme. In years past it has been Tinkerbell, Alice in Wonderland, and Frozen. This year is my favorite theme she has picked yet, Minions! For those that might not know what the Minions are, they are the lovable little Twinkie shaped creatures from the animated film Despicable Me. We love those little guys and went all the way to Florida to see them at Universal Studios over spring break. Continue reading

With having 2 children, we often receive many birthday card invitations during the year. These always end up in the garbage can or recycling bin depending who throws them away. I cringe at the money that is often wasted on invitations myself when planning my children’s parties. This year I looked thru my list and realized that only a handful of the 50 people we were inviting were not connected to the internet. I decided that there had to be a nice way to send out an electronic invitation that was appealing and had all the important information. For those that were not connected to the internet we mailed them a Make Your Own Birthday Card Invitation. They were simple to make and saved on custom invitations. Once those were done I sat down and set out to design one to send out via email to the other guests. In just a few simple steps you can Make Your Own Birthday Card Invitations to send via email and same money at the same time. Continue reading
With a large family and an even larger network of friends, I find myself constantly buying Birthday Cards. The problem is each time I buy a card, I realize how expensive cards are becoming. I know that many card companies now offer $1.00 or $0.99 cards and I find these great for Thank Yous and Thinking of You occasions but the Birthday selection is very lacking. I like giving cards with a heart felt message and have found that I can do this inexpensively when I follow these ways to Make Your Own Birthday Card. Continue reading
A while back I applied for the chance to host a #DisneySide Party and I was so excited when I was picked. I was given party supplies and other goodies to help me plan my party but the best thing was I was going to be able to show my Disney Side the way I wanted to. Having just had my daughter’s tenth birthday, I knew that I wanted to do something a little different. I put my thinking cap on and decided to hold a party for the kids at our church and their friends. The best part was when I reached out to a few local businesses they were more than happy to help the kids have a fun time and donated delicious food for the event. (see all our sponsors below).
