Getting a new camera is fun and exciting! So much to learn and so many possibilities. Whether you got it to take pictures of your kids, your travels, or are a blogger like me, having a great camera is a great idea. And after you have found the perfect one, learning how to take care of it is super important. One of the best things you can do for your camera is keeping your lens clean and dust free. With that in mind I wanted to share with you some of my Camera Lens Cleaning Tips that will work for any type of camera. Let’s check them out:

Here are my Camera Lens Cleaning Tips:

Camera Lens Cleaning Tips

1. Grab an alcohol based camera lens cleaner- You can find these at most camera specialty stores, or you can also find some on Amazon.

2. Or, go the natural way- Most photographers swear by breathing onto their lens (to create a fog) and then wiping it dry with a clean cloth.

3. Brush the Dust off- Using a soft brush (like one made of camel hair) can be great to brush dust off your camera and your lens, and is gentle enough that it won’t scratch your lens.

4. Grab some Silica Gel- You know, those little packs that come in new purses? Yes, those! Make sure you throw those in the bottom of your camera bag to ward off any moisture from getting on your camera or it’s lens.

5. Make you job a little easier- Proper care of your camera is the best thing you can do for your lens. Making sure you only use a soft microfiber cloth on your lens is super important, as other clothes may scratch the surface of your lens. When you camera is not in use, make sure it is secured in a camera bag where dust has less of a chance to collect there.

So there you have it, some great camera lens cleaning tips that are easy to do and easy to remember. Happy Photographing!
