Fall is my favorite time of year, time for pumpkins, cooler temperatures, and my favorite, apples! And what is the best way to eat an apple? Covered in Werther’s Original Caramels of course! I was super excited when I was approached to hold a Baking Bash MommyParty and couldn’t wait to try out the new Werther’s Original Baking CaramelsAs soon as my party kit arrived I invited a few friends over and started whipping up some delicious treats!

I knew we had to make some Caramel Apple’s, no baking bash featuring caramel would be complete without it right!? A word of caution, make sure you are very specific when asking your husband to run to the store to pick up ingredients for you. I asked for crafting sticks and ended up with what look like tongue depressors ha!

It is super simple to make Caramel Apples using the new Werther’s Original Baking Caramels!  Here is what you will need:

  • 1 bag (about 26 pieces) of Werther’s Original Baking Caramels
  • 6 apples
  • crafting sticks
  • 1 tsp milk

To make Caramel Apples here is what you will do:

Step 1: First, wash and dry your apples, pull off the stems and insert your crafting sticks to the top of each apple. Line a plate or baking sheet with wax paper and set aside.

Step 2: Unwrap the individually wrapped Wether’s Original Baking Caramels and put them in a microwave safe bowl. (Warning, try hard not to eat all the caramels that you unwrap, we lost almost a full bag of caramels this way!)

Step 3: Add in your tsp of milk, and microwave for about 2 minuets, take out and stir.

Step 4: While the caramel is still warm, roll your apples into the caramel, covering it completely. Transfer your freshly dipped apples onto your wax paper covered baking sheet.

Step 5: Once all your apples are dipped, place them in the fridge to let the caramel set, take out and enjoy!

Another awesome recipe we made using the Werther’s Original Baking Caramels were Caramel Brownies. Oh.My.Goodness they were SO good! I love plain brownies to begin with, but adding in the caramel made them even better! Here is the super simple recipe:

You will need:

  • 20 pieces of Werther’s Original Baking Caramels
  • 1 box brownie mix
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Step 1: Mix your brownie mix according to package instructions and set aside.

Step 2: Grease a baking pan. Unwrap your caramels and place in a microwave safe bowl and microwave about 1 1/2 minutes.

Step 3: Add your water and vanilla to your caramel and then fold into your brownie mix. Bake according to brownie package instructions.

Step 4: Let cool and serve! We went with a fall theme and used pumpkin cookie cutters and edible glitter paint!
