Valentine’s Picture Frame

What you need:

  • 1 Sheet of Black Cardstock (you could use construction paper),
  • Cardboard size of 8 ½ x 11 inches, scissors, Elmer’s Glue, Plastic see through piece 5 ½ x 7 ½ inches, foam sticky hearts. Get this PDF file of pattern.

a. First print out the PDF file of the pattern. Cut out the 3 pieces and then trace pattern on cardboard and black cardstock. Cut both sets out.

b. Glue (Glue Stick works best) plastic viewing piece to Black Cardstock frame. Now glue the Black Cardstock frame to cardboard frame.

c. Glue the Black Cardstock back to the cardboard back. Make sure the cardboard side is facing the cardboard side of the frame and glue into place.

d. Glue the Black Cardstock stand to the cardboard stand and attach to the back of the frame. Let the whole frame sit for at least 30 minutes to dry before decorating.

e. Now the fun begins. Make sure you use the foam shaped with the sticky backs for easier cleanup with kids. Make sure when decorating to not cover the plastic viewing area where the picture will be placed.

f. Now that it is decorated, find a picture to display and place in the frame.

g. Easy as that, enjoy!

This is a nice easy craft that you can do with your kids. Not only can you bond together by doing this, they can also unleash their creativity and at the same time create a special Valentine’s day gift for friends and relatives.
