Turkey Taco Recipe

Taco Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1 Pound Thawed Ground Turkey
  • 1 Pepper (I use sweet, but you can vary this to your taste)
  • 1 Small Tomato
  • Whole Grain Tortillas
  • 1/4 cup Low Fat Cheese
  • Optional (olives)

One nice thing is that everything other than the meat and tortillas is optional.  This is great for families with picky eaters.

1. Brown the meat.  I did not add ANYTHING to the meat.  Just browned it on medium heat.

2. Chop the Pepper and Tomato, and then grill them.  I grilled these right with the meat on the other side of the pan.  I made tacos with just meat and then mixed the veggies with the meat for my taco.

3. Plate up the tacos and add your toppings.  Veggies and LOW FAT Cheese are fine.  I would avoid sour cream.  Since you didn’t there isn’t a ton of spice on the meat, the cheese compliments the taste of the peppers perfectly.
4. ENJOY!

Enjoy the Taco
