Taco Ring Recipe

I love cooking for my family but I also like food that is quick and easy to prepare. A favorite of my family (which I don’t make often enough) is Taco Ring. Taco Ring is simple to make and even my children can help make it. It is a great go to recipe when I want something tasty and easy that doesn’t come from a box.

Taco Ring

  • 2 packages of refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 2 lbs ground beef or ground turkey
  • 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese (or other flavor you prefer)
  • Taco seasoning mix

Preheat Oven to 350* F

In skillet, brown ground beef/ground turkey and prepare as if you were making tacos.

Unroll crescent rolls from package and separate into individual “flat” triangles.

Arrange crescent triangles on a round baking stone or cookie sheet. Have wide ends overlapping in the middle and the pointed ends hanging over the sides.

Once Taco Mixture is ready stir in shredded cheese.

Scoop meat mixture onto the widest ends of the crescent rolls.

Pull up the pointed ends of the crescent rolls over the meat mixture. Make sure to stick the points to the larger end of the cresent rolls so that it doesn’t open while cooking.

Bake in oven for 20-25 minutes, until the crescent rolls are cooked and a light golden brown.

Slice and Serve.

Serve with tomatoes, onions, lettuce, extra cheese, black olives, salsa, sour cream or any other fixings you would like.

Use a rolling pin and smooth out inner edges so that there are no seams and it forms one complete piece of dough.

Mix Cheese into Taco Meat.

Spoon Taco Meat onto the inner portion of the crescent rolls

Hi I’m Gwendolyn and I have been a stay at home mom since 2009. I have been with my husband, James, for 10 years and we are proud parents of Jayme (8) and Nicholas (13). We are also parents to 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 hamsters, and a snake. My father-in-law lives with us so it is always non-stop at our house. I had the honor of becoming a step-parent when I got married and have a great relationship with my step-son. I always used coupons and shopped for bargains but was forced to step up my game when my husband was disabled in 2005. I get an incredible rush from saving money and finding great deals. My life is a constant journey and I look forward to sharing it with you all.
