Slow Cooker Gluten Free Italian Meatballs Recipe
Slow Cooker Gluten Free Italian Meatballs Recipe
You guys, Fall is my absolute favorite time of year. I love the changing leaves, pumpkins, and the cooling temperatures. Because nothing is better than wrapping up in a warm blanket on a cool fall evening. I also love using my slow cooker during the fall time. Who doesn’t love to come home from work to the smell of dinner that has been cooking all day? This weekend I had some friends over for dinner, so I wanted to make something quick to prepare that could be cooked in the slow cooker while we were out for the day. One of my go-to crowd feeding recipes is my Slow Cooker Gluten Free Italian Meatballs! They are juicy, have a great taste, and most importantly, are easy to make! You can also freeze them if you find you have leftovers! Let’s check out how to make them:
Here is how to make my Slow Cooker Gluten Free Italian Meatballs:
You Will Need:
- 1 lb Hamburger Meat
- 1 lb Mild ground Sausage
- 1 egg
- 1 cup Gluten Free Breadcrumbs (I found mine at Publix!)
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan Cheese
- 1 tsp Chopped Parsley
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 jar spaghetti sauce of your choice
Step 1: In a bowl mix together all of your ingredients expect the sauce. Once mixed well, form 2″ balls with your hands. Continue this process until you have made balls out of all of you meat.
Step 2: Pour your sauce in your slow cooker. Place your meatballs in a single layer in your slow cooker. Top with salt and pepper to taste. Cook on HIGH for 4-6 hours or LOW for 6-8 hours.
Step 3: When done cooking, cut a meatball open to make sure they are done. Top with shredded cheese and enjoy! The beauty of meatballs is how many different ways you can use them! You can serve them over noodles, by themselves, or even in a meatball sub! Don’t forget you can freeze any extras and just reheat them when you are ready to eat them again!
Enjoy!
