Share Deals With a Shopping Buddy

making dollars changes

Do you ever purchase large quantities of produce and it goes to waste before you can use it? Or what about those buy two get three free shrimp or chicken deals that Harris Teeter is famous for? Although these large item promotions can net you huge savings, sometimes the items are not stored easily.

Enter the shopping buddy!

Find a friend to split great deals with! Amee and a good friend split their Sam’s Club produce purchases. Sam’s Club has great prices on produce but it can be hard to use it all before it goes bad. Shop with a friend, divide the goods and split the bill.

When Harris Teeter runs the buy two, get three free shrimp deal, Amee and I split the cost. Neither of us has the freezer room to store five bags of shrimp. Both of our families enjoy shrimp. Buying it during promotions like this, allows us to enjoy it frequently.

This same concept can be applied to drug store deals too. Awhile back CVS had an extracare buck deal on Electrasol dishwashing detergent. Amee and I pooled our coupons together in order to get the best deal. Sometimes it is hard to comeby five coupons (or however many are needed) for a product to make the deals work out. If you have a shopping buddy, combine your coupons to make for the best scenario. Besides, shopping with a friend is more fun anyways!
