Shamrock Shake Recipe Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- mint extract
- green food coloring
- green sugar
- whip cream
- cherries
Directions:
1. Before you start, place your serving glasses in the freezer to keep the shake extra frosty.
2. Let’s start. Pour 1/2 cup of milk into the blender
3. Pour 2 cups of vanilla ice cream in the blender
4. Add 4 drops of mint extract
5. Add 4 drops o green food coloring (no need to add this if you are concerned about dyes)
6. Blend…until smooth and creamy. Give the shake a taste. If you want a stronger mint flavor, add a touch more mint extract. Adjust the sweetness or creaminess by adding more ice cream or milk as desired. Blend the mixture once more to incorporate any additional ingredients and ensure a smooth texture.
7. While you are blending wet the lip of your glass
8. Place, the damp glass lip into the green sugar this is also not a necessary item on the shake but it is fun. You will need to make sure the rim is covered. When it is cover lift the glass.
9. Pour in the shamrock shake (mint shake)
10. Then place whip cream on the top.
11. Sprinkle green sugar or sprinkles over the whipped cream for a festive touch. Place a maraschino cherry on top to complete the classic look.
I prefer mine with more colored sugar.
Present your homemade Shamrock Shake with a straw and enjoy the minty goodness. Don’t forget to take a moment to appreciate your culinary creation! Enjoy!
Optional Enhancements:
Chocolate Drizzle:
Add a drizzle of chocolate syrup on top of the whipped cream for a delightful chocolate-mint combination.
Crushed Mint Cookies:
Crush mint-flavored cookies and sprinkle them over the whipped cream for added texture and flavor.
Leprechaun Magic:
Garnish with a small shamrock-shaped cookie or a tiny leprechaun figurine for an extra whimsical touch.
Now you do not have to wait for McDonald’s limit time shamrock shakes. This is a healthier alternative since i used Natural ice cream and natural mint extract.
