Recipes kids can make: St Patricks Day Waffles

Recipes kids can make:

The best thing about being a mom is finding things to do with your kids that create memories. We find recipes kids can make with a little bit of parental support. I find the easier the recipe the better. I also try to teach math and reading while making recipes in the kitchen. It is important to me that my kids eat healthy. It is also important that they learn to listen, work together, and try something new. When you chose to find recipes that kids can make you teach them more than a recipe and sometimes you can even get them to try something new.

Waffles are easy to make. I was in a hurry so I grabbed my waffle maker and then we sprayed it with olive oil. We allowed it to heat up. When it was heating up we made waffle mix.

You will need

1 cup of flour

1 1/2 tsp of  baking powder

1/4 tsp of salt

1 Egg

1 cup of milk

and some melted butter, I use 2 1/2  tablespoons

I mix the dry ingredients first then I add in the egg, milk, and butter. I mix them until blended. DO not over mix. I leave my mixture sitting for about two minutes then I pour it in the waffle maker.

****If you want to make the recipe festive for St. Patrick’s Day simple add in some food coloring prior to cooking.
