Real Deals: Tips

Since I live in a town that is 21 miles from the nearest Walmart (or any real grocery store) I have to make sure my grocery list includes deals, deals, deals! This past Sunday, I was able to purchase $202 worth of groceries for $161! I know I can’t always save 40% or more but when I do, it just makes couponing so worth while. The best part? I LOVE passing the tips and deals on to my family and friends on Facebook. So many of them have learned to save money from my experiences. Another favorite thing? Finding the deals from websites like yours.

Thanks to Angel Burch for this!

These days saving money even if you live close to the store is a HAVE to. Our Walmart doens’t have groceries but our Target does. So we try to get as much of our stuff there as we can. I can usually get 93% lean ground beef cheaper there than the grocery store even when they have it on sale.

I have also found that if I get away from the processed foods I come out cheaper on the grocery bill too.

I agree! I have to group shopping trips because my nearest walmart is about 20 miles from my house, target is farther, and the main supermarkets deals aren’t always that good! Thank you for what you do!

We are dreaming of moving out of town as soon as we can, but the fear of living that far out is something I think about. I can’t just run to the store. I’ll have to be VERY organized to do it all at once. Good job!!! Thanks for the tips.

!thats a great trip! im trying to beat my best of 28%!! and thats at homeland, which is the only local store that doubles coupons. ive heard walmart neighborhood markets were going to start doubling coupons, but that was about a month ago, and havent heard anything else about it. im in okc, any other stores in my area that double?

Well there’s a Wal-mart 2 miles away from me on each side so if I forget something I can always go back and get it.

I love that she shared this tip. I think couponers sometimes expect to slash bills in half or less. It’s nice when that happens, but any savings is definitely good. I’m thrilled when i can cut 25% or so off my bill. That money can definitely be better utilized elsewhere. Thanks for sharing!

I greatly appreciate all the deals, trips, and tips that you post here for us. I am fairly new at this so I take your advice often and put it to use saving as much money as I can. Now, I just need to get a printer so I can take advantage of all you Hot Coupons that I am missing out on right now. Thanks again for all of your hard work.

I dont get to shop much so hubby and my daughter pick up most of the groceries. I cut the coupons and then they invariably get lost! After seeing so much on tv and now on your blog and others, we really HAVE to do better. We dont have money to WASTE by not doing so. Six kids later, and losing my job to rotten health, I know I have wasted so much money by not couponing seriously. Way to go everyone! I am super impressed!
