I am not sure if you have seen the latest and greatest umbrellas but honestly they do not have one for boys ages 6-10. They have girl umbrellas but they didn’t have one for my son. I decided I could make one that he would love. They are easy to make and inexpensive. The personalized umbrellas can be given as gifts to teachers, friends, and they can even be signed as a memory.
- You will need an umbrella any color
- Paint pens or sharpie markers work
The first thing you will need to do is trace out your design on the umbrella. I am actually able to look at a design and replicate it free hand. If that isn’t your level of skill you can get a light umbrella and place the image under the umbrella and shine a light so you can trace the image on the umbrella.
Angry Bird Umbrella completed project
I did an Angry Birds Umbrella because my son loves them! They are also easy to replicate. I know he will enjoy having a special cool umbrella. I added his name and another bird. I can’t say that it looks professional but that is due to my skill level I can say that it was his favorite gift because it was unique!
