Pennsylvania Bound with Roadtrip-a-Matic

This post brought to you by PA Tourism. All opinions are 100% mine.

With time and money being a huge consideration these days, we like to plan our roadtrips close to home.  Generally, we try to limit our travel time to about four or five hours each way.  This gives us more time to enjoy ourselves and less time on the road.  Pennsylvania is one of those destinations which fits right into our criteria for a roadtrip.

Our family enjoys vacations where we can visit historic sights, eat at local restaurants, and stay in hotels that offer, at a minimum, a pool and continental breakfast.  However, the hardest part of planning a trip is figuring out where to go, where to stay, and what sights we all want to see.  The options are endless and getting just the right mix can be a daunting task.

If you are traveling to Pennsylvania, the Roadtrip-a-Matic offers dozens of ready-to-ride roadtrips for visitors looking for outdoor experiences, small town charm, historic landmarks and so much more. Whatever a visitor is looking for, the Roadtrip-a-Matic has a roadtrip for everyone.

I checked out the Roadtrip-a-Matic and was pleased to find the Civil War Trails and Beyond packages to be a perfect fit for our family.  We love to explore historic sites together and the site gives us three options to explore.  I can see my parents joining us on one of these trips.  After all, they are the ones who started the whole “history trip” tradition when I was a kid.

The first trip is Follow Me to 1863, a four day, three night trip, which takes us Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg, Gettysburg and Lancaster.  The other two trip ideas include two days and two nights in Philadelphia and another to Blairsburg, Pittsburg and Washington.  Each location includes sights to see, places to eat, and places to stay.  There are interactive pages which include stories, resources and events.  By exploring these pages, you’ll get a closer look at what’s in store for you.  Roadtrip-a-Matic does all the planning.  All we have to do is pack and go!

Other packages include Kidsylvania, Taste Buds on Tour, Trails Mix, Small Town Charmy, Spree — The Shopper’s Roadtrip, and many more pa-roadtrips.

Whether it is a family trip, a romantic getaway, or a girls’ shopping spree, there is something for everyone.  Check out the site and tell us where you would go!

I would like the Ghost Rides Take a ride on the spooky side.
I’d probably be scared to death but my dark side likes stuff like that. 🙂

I would love to do small town charmy… I grew up in a small town, and it would be nice to see other small towns.
