FREE PHONE Pay It Forward Friday

Inspired by my $100 Story, I decided that this year Madame Deals’ mission is to unite people through good deeds and giveaways.

Please read all of my Pay It Forward Friday posts! Plus, check out this article written by my fans 100 things you can do to help others for FREE!

I was the the winner of two phones from Radio Shack. I won a blogger contest. The first thing I thought was oh how cool. I could really use this. Then I decided that although it would be nice to keep this phone and the other phone there are other people who really could use them. I asked my fans on facebook who should we give it to. The majority thought my phone should go to a woman’s shelter. That is my pay it forward this friday. I am donating my prize to the woman’s shelter. That resonates with me anyway. I love empowered woman. There is nothing more empowering than removing yourself from a bad place. I wrote an article from Lifetime that I would love to share.  Black and Blue I love You

I would also like to give one of you a phone. The entry is simple you have one week to do as many good deeds as possible for every good deed you do and comment then more likely you are to win a phone. The contest ends at 10pm est Friday 26th.

I helped my children choose some items from our home to give to the food bank. Our local food bank actually had to shut down for a few days due to the shortage of donations.

I have been a Kids Hope USA mentor for five years mentoring at-risk elementary school students. I am also a substitute teacher in the schools here and volunteer at my children’s school. We also donate items for things such as Operation Christmas Child and Trunk or Treat st our church. Have also been with my mom and brother when they have had health issues. Giving back what God gives us is how we should all live our lives.

Wow,I have a hard time writing what I have done for others without feeling bad. I love helping others out, but I think that is part of my personality. I’ll start with Saturday. My brother is very sick and my mom is emotionally drained from taking care of him. They live about an hour away but at 9pm we left to stay over my mom’s house and help. Very tired by the time we got home Sunday.

Tuesday, I watched my friends 3 month old baby for her, it’s hard going back to always having my hands full. I didn’t accomplish much other than help them out, but I enjoy that.

Thursday night is my night where my hubby takes the kids and I have 2 hours to get my groceries or just have some me time, but I ended up taking a friend along and went where she wanted to go b/c she is really down right now. Her grandpa had a stroke and now her grandma is moving in with her and she is overwhelmed trying to take care of them. I lost my alone time but it was worth giving her a chance to get out and feel a little bit of her own time. I think writing these out help me value the act more than I did. Sometimes my heart wants to help but I grieve the loss of my agenda. In the end, my agenda doesn’t matter as much. Thanks!

Ok, last one, my church called and Tuesday and said they need volunteers to run bingo at an elderly home in our community. We have done this with our kids before. We like doing family friendly events that teach our kids to serve. So even though we had previous plans that is no what we are going to be doing tomorrow. My kids love being the runner, with the prize when someone wins.

I watched onepf my friends kids last night for free so they could have a date night. Its always important to remember you need alone time with your spouse to keep a good relationship. I read once that moms tend to forget about themselves and partner after having a baby. It’d important to remember your partners will be there by yourside till the end. ANd an unhappy mom is not good fpe the family

On your list of 100 things you can do for free listen is what really caught my eye not enough people so that anymore. A lot of the time people are just waiting to get their two sense in. A family member of mine is going threw a rough time I took the time to just listen to what she was saying sometimes we all need a listening ear

I had a Customer that had taken a trip to where I live, and while she was here she saw a shirt but did not get it. She went home and one of her friends had a Mastectomy and that shirt came to mind when she heard about it. The shirt was Pink and had the saying “Fight Like A Girl and Drink Like A Lady”. She Went to order the shirt from the place online but when she went to complete the order they were going to charge her 13.00 for shipping on a T-shirt. When she told me about it I told her I would go and pick it up and mail it out to her. It was no trouble at all. I live near by and I was going to town and to the post office anyways. So why Not. I picked it up Wednesday morning and Mailed out to my Very Loyal Customer in Maine. It made me feel good just doing it.

A really great site to help others (or get help if you need it) is wishuponahero.com. I have both been a hero and had a hero there. Great site with wonderful people.
