“A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.” Colin Powell.
I know that having my own business is often more work than if I worked for someone else. I believe what influences me to do more and be more is my children. I believe showing your children that if you put in the work, research, and energy that you can make your dreams come true. I want my children to know that you define yourself by your actions and that focusing on what you desire it is possible to accomplish anything. I adore my children but I am not the “stay at home mom” type. I decided in order for me to be happy staying at home I had to be a work at home mom. I created my dream around that.
I am constantly challenged to keep all my responsibilities handled and accomplish my tasks. I am inspired daily by the opportunity to watch my children grow up. I get to see how they change and what they learn. I get to experience their daily life and goals. I also get to learn and change myself professionally and personally daily as my company evolves.
I am most influenced through conversations and experiences and I try to be open to both. I ask tough questions and listen with my heart and then my head. I am inspired daily by how my children look at the world with curiosity and excitement and it inspires me to believe that anything is possible and that people are willing to help. The only left to do is ask for it and believe that in the end we are all people and no matter where we came from or where we are going we can accomplish anything together. I am inspired by the thought that my sons will support their wives like my husband has supported me and my daughter will not be afraid to be herself to the dismay of the “playgroup clan”. Inspiration and influence are we you find them. They are only valuable if you believe in yourself and invest in yourself. It is often a hard battle to go against the grain but being successful comes from being different. Success is earned and not given. If you want to be successful you need to be a student of the industry you wish to succeed in. I know my children may not understand why I am on the computer but they will one day. They will understand I work late into the night so during the day I can attend their plays and field trips. I have the best job I am a mom, wife, and business owner and the best part of my job is I get kisses anytime I want.
