Melissa & Doug Dollhouse Review and $150 Gift Card Giveaway

I’ve always been a big fan of Melissa & Doug products. They are well-made, unique, and perfect for my two imaginative little girls, ages 4 and 7. Naturally, I jumped at the chance to review their Multi-Level Solid Wood Dollhouse, which came just in time for my daughter’s seventh birthday!

The dollhouse came unassembled. I’m not particularly handy, but I was able to put it together easily in under an hour. The instructions were exceptionally clear and simple, and the only tool required was a Phillips screwdriver. I had a bit of help from the girls, but I must admit that they were more interested in playing with the boxes and bubble wrap than in giving Mommy a hand.

The finished product is just lovely. The exterior is pink and purple, with balconies and front steps. It has three stories, five spacious rooms, two moveable staircases, and working exterior doors. To my surprise, it also came with 19 pieces of hand-painted furniture, including furniture for the bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. It even came with a tiny toilet with pink details! My girls couldn’t wait to start arranging the furniture and moving their dolls into their new home.

Speaking of dolls, we were fortunate enough to also receive the Family Wooden Doll Set. These seven dolls have flexible limbs and adorable details. The family includes a mother, father, daughter, son, baby, grandmother, and grandfather.Β They are the perfect size for the dollhouse, and my girls enjoyed introducing their new dolls to their collection of mini princess dolls, unicorns, and ponies.

Melissa & Doug recommends this dollhouse for children ages three and up. However, I find it to be ideal for both my 4 year old and my 7 year old. They love imaginative play, and this is the perfect place for them to create stories and to use their imaginations. They adore their new dollhouse! I believe that it will be among their favorite toys for a long time, and it is sturdy enough to last for years to come.
