Make a Difference With Members Project

With the tough economical times, many of us struggle to make financial contributions to charities. Amee and I like to find ways to contribute and make a difference without spending a lot of money. American Express and TakePart have joined together to make a difference through the Members Project.

Members Project allows you to take small steps towards making a difference. The easiest way to get involved is to vote for your favorite charity. There are five categories of charities. Every three months the charity with the most votes from each category will receive $200,000 in funding from American Express. And did I mention that it is FREE to join and vote? It takes just a minute to register and a second to vote. You can vote once a week for your favorite charity.

Another aspect of Members Project is volunteering. Giving your time is a wonderful way to give back to your community. I was impressed that Members Project had volunteer opportunities for my local area listed! Simply search for volunteering opportunities in your area. American Express card members can earn Membership Rewards bonus points for volunteering. Membership Rewards can be redeemed for groceries or everyday expenses!

Members Project also allows you to make a donation to your favorite charity using your American Express card or by donating your Membership Rewards bonus points.

I urge all of you to at least sign up for Members Project to vote for a charity. I voted for Habit for Humanity since it is one of my favorite charities that is involved in our community. It only takes a couple of minutes to make a difference!

This post was written for One2One Network and Members Project. The opinions expressed are mine and I was not compensated for this post. I am eligible to win a gift card from One2One though.
