Low Calorie Flatbread Pizza Recipe

As most of you know, I’ve been trying to eat healthy, and live a low calorie lifestyle, but I have a confession….I LOVE pizza. More than any sweets, or any other kind of bad for you food, I just want pizza. But when I realized that most pizzas can pack up to 300 calorie a slice (and really, who can stop at one!?) I knew I had to find some way to enjoy pizza, without feeling super guilty afterwords. By making some minor adjustments, I made a super yummy (and filling) Low Calorie Flatbread Pizza Recipe  out of a single piece of flatbread!

Low Calorie Flatbread Pizza Recipe

By thinning the bread, switching out regular pepperoni to turkey pepperoni, and making sure you grab a part skim milk cheese, you are saving a lot of calories without sacrificing taste. Perfect for your tastebuds and your waistline!

Here is how to make my Low Calorie Flatbread Pizza Recipe

Low Calorie Pizza

Ingredients:

  • A wheat flatbread I used Flatout! Brand
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp low sodium pizza sauce
  • 1/4 cup part skim milk shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 12 turkey pepperoni slices
  • Oregano optional

First, preheat your oven to 300 degrees

Place your flatbread on a cookie sheet and spread 1 tbsp EVOO on it

Using a spoon, spread your pizza sauce evenly over your flatbread.

Add you cheese, reserving a little for the top of the pizza.

Add your pepperonis on top of the cheese

Sprinkle your remaining cheese on top.

Bake for 7-8 mins, or until cheese is bubbly.

Let cool slightly and slice. Add some oregano and split with a friend!

  • 1 whole wheat flatbread (100 calories)
  • 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce (30 calories)
  • 1/4 cup shredded cooked chicken breast (60 calories)
  • 1/4 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese (80 calories)
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion (10 calories)

Total calories: 280

Greek Flatbread Pizza

  • 1 whole wheat flatbread (100 calories)
  • 2 tablespoons hummus (50 calories)
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese (70 calories)
  • 1/4 cup diced tomato (8 calories)
  • 1/4 cup diced cucumber (4 calories)
  • 1/4 cup sliced kalamata olives (45 calories)

Spinach and Mushroom Flatbread Pizza

  • 1 whole wheat flatbread (100 calories)
  • 2 tablespoons pizza sauce (20 calories)
