Kids Play Dough Recipe- Looking for something fun to do with your kids on a rainy day this summer? How about making some homemade playdough? All you need is a few ingredients and about 15 mins and you can make your own playdough! This play dough looks and feels just like the kind you get in the store, and costs very little to make! It’s a great project to make with your kids too!

Here what you will need to make this Kids Play Dough Recipe:

  • 3 Cups of flour
  • 1 1/2 cups of salt
  • 6 tsp Cream of Tartar
  • 3 tbsp of oil
  • 3 cups of water
  • food coloring

Here is how to make this Kids Play Dough Recipe:

Step 1: In a medium saucepan, combine water, oil, salt, and cream of tartar. Stir and warm.

Step 2: Add in your food coloring and stir. Once mixture is warm, remove from heat.

Step 3: Add in your flour and stir until you achieve a paste like consistency.

Step 4: Once the play dough has cooled slightly, place on a lightly floured cutting board/cookie sheet and knead until the play dough has formed.  Store in a tightly sealed storage container or bag and it will stay fresh for up to 3 months!

This recipe was super easy and fun to make, and the best thing is that your kids can join in on the fun! You can even replace food coloring with kool aid for added color and smell!
