Hankook Tires

I know the importance of having good tires. The fact that your life rests on the tire selection you make isn’t to far from the truth. I also know that the tire selection is equally matched by the people that you select to install your tire. These factors both need to be researched. You are making a very important decision when you select new tires and it is something you should put time and thought into prior to doing it.

I have found several tips to be helpful when I am making a tire purchase. The first is how long the company has been in business. The reports associated with that company. Then I would look to determine if I need new tires.

Did you know  about the Penny Test? Just place a penny into several tread grooves across the tire. If part of Lincoln’s head is always covered by the tread, you have more than 2/32″ of tread depth remaining. Based on most states’ laws, tires are legally worn out when they have worn down to 2/32″ of remaining tread depth.

Also, it is important to know that NHTSA recommends to replace the tires at least every 6 years. Make sure to check your owner’s manual for specific recommendations about your car.
