Halloween Costumes for FREE

Money Saving Monday

Inexpensively has a new Money Saving Monday link-up opportunity. This weeks theme is tips for a frugal halloween.

My tip is to trade costumes! Why buy new costumes each year when there are plenty of people to trade with? My nephews are older than my boys and so is Amee’s son. I went through the costumes they had and then let my three year old pick from the selections I made. He was thrilled to try them all on and compare! It was a lot of fun and how many stores let a three year old try on costumes?

Generally, costumes are worn for a few short hours. There is plenty of use still left in last years costumes! So, send out an e-mail or call some friends and let them know what size of costume you are looking for. You can also set up a swap if you belong to a mom’s club or playgroup.
