Everybody loves pie! Am I right? And everybody loves green bean casserole. Am I right? So the logical conclusion is that everybody will love green bean casserole pie!

Green Bean Casserole Pie is the perfect way to shake up your family's favorite Thanksgiving side dish

 

I decided to shake things up this year with one of our tried and true favorite Thanksgiving side dishes – green  bean casserole. I live for green bean casserole and I gotta admit when I as all done taking pictures for this post,  I just got out a fork and had green bean casserole pie for lunch.

Green Bean Casserole Pie Recipe

Ingredients:

1/2 stick of butter or margarine

2 containers French’s Fried Onion, 5oz size

1 can Campbell’s® Cream of Mushroom Soup, 10.75oz

2 cans Del Monte® Blue Lake® Cut Green Beans, 14.5oz

1/2 cup Swanson® Chicken broth

Green bean casserole pie baked and ready to eat

Directions:

Finely chop the French’s Fried Onions using a food processor and mix well with the melted butter. Press the mixture into a deep pie pan.

Use a food processor to grind up the fried onions to make your crustMix the can of Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom soup with the chicken broth using a whisk. Add the green beans and mix gently. Optional: add pepper or other seasonings to taste.

Scoop green bean mixture into pie pan on top of the crust.

Add the green bean mixture to your pie crust

Bake at 375°F until crust is browned and center of casserole is bubbly. Approx 35 mins

Top with more French’s Fried Onions as a garnish.

Prep time: 10 mins

Cook time: 35 mins
