Receiving Coupons from Manufacturers

money making mondayHave you ever left a compliment or complaint on a manufacturers website? It may be well worth your while to do so! I came across a post that Couponing to Disney wrote about leaving comments on different companies websites. The result was that she received free product coupons from some companies and money off coupons from others!

So, a few days ago I picked three companies that I had recently used products from. I complimented Glade, Campbell’s and Pepperidge Farm. It took me less than five minutes to do this. Within 48 hours I received an e-mail back from all three companies saying that they appreciated my comments and they were sending a coupon via snail mail for a free product! Wow! I am so impressed!

So here is the scoop. Couponing to Disney recommends leaving a compliment or valid complaint (please only complain if it is valid) for five companies a day. Make sure that you are honest and personal in your response. This is what I wrote to Campbell’s: “I love this time of year because it is the perfect time to stock-up on creamed soups. There are so many quick and easy meals that can be made with creamed soups. Thank you for making dinner easy!” Also, makes sure to leave your mailing address. Most companies will mail the coupons via snail mail.

I have contacted a company before about a defective product. They were great with responding and sending free product coupons. If you do leave negative feedback, please do it in a respectful manner. They will also want as much information as possible; upc code, lot number, etc.

I found out about this practice by accident because I contacted welch’s to find out if a juice product I like had been discontinued indeed they responded it had bbeen discontinued. Last week I got a letter with three coupons for welches juice products. So now I am going to write to other companies of products I use. I also wrote to skinny cow Ice Cream to tell them how much I enhoy their products and they sent me two coupons.

In my mailbox today I received the coupon from Campbell’s. It is a $2.00 off any Campbell’s, Swanson, Pepperidge Farm, Pace, V8 or Prego products. It is not actually a free product coupon. It states “Save $2.00 on any of these Campbell Products”. So it sounds like it will take $2.00 off even if I have to buy several items. I will use it to buy cream soups for cooking, yeah!
