Food Lion Coupon Policy

Food lion has posted their coupon policy as a PDF file on their website. A couple of months ago a reader let us know that Food Lion was not taking coupons for FREE products. The new policy makes it clear that they DO accept coupons for free products as long as it is not an internet printable.

The policy does not state if a store coupon can be stacked with a manufacturers coupon. I know that is a question that several of you have. I haven’t received a clear answer yet!

A few highlights:

  • Free coupons will be accepted as long as they are not Internet Printable coupons. A buy one, get one free internet printable coupon is acceptable.
  • There is a limit of 10 like coupons/ items per customer.
  • They do not accept competitors coupons.

Thanks Food Lion Insider!

Harris Teeter will not accept the free product Internet coupons. I tried to use one for a free Digiorno Pizza Internet coupon and they would not accept it. I am not positive but I think that they do not accept the BOGO Free ones either. So Food Lion is not the only one.

I usually do not shop at FL because they do not double my coupons or accept other stores’ coupons.

Thanks Madame Deals for posting the Food Lion Coupon Policy update and the condensed form. I tend to write a lot. I am still trying to find a clear answer regarding stacking coupons for everyone. I’m not happy with the coupon policy they posted, but at least they finally posted something.

Heather, you’re not the only customer that is unhappy with Food Lion’s coupon policy. I’m sure you save more money at other grocery stores because of their less restrictive policies. Food Lion is testing doubling coupons in some stores in Georgia. Hopefully they will spread company wide.
